Erin C. DeVita, Laser Provider for Advanced Dermatology and Director of Research for SKINQRI, is a Certified Surgical Technologist and has been assisting Dr. Taub in Dermatology since 2000. Erin studied at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed her surgical rotations at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. In 2004, Erin was certified as a Medical Laser Safety Officer, one of very few in the country. In 2005, she became certified as a Clinical Research Coordinator and oversees clinical research studies performed by SKINQRI. Erin also provides laser and cosmetic services under Dr. Taub’s care. Erin and Dr. Taub work closely together to develop optimal laser treatment protocols and train other physicians on these devices. In collaboration with Dr. Taub, Erin has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. She is currently a member of the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), Association of Surgical Assistants (ASA), Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA), Laser Institute or America (LIA), Board of Laser Safety (BLS), American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Society for Photodynamic Therapy (ASPDT), Association of Dermatology Administrators/Managers (ADA/M) and Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
Erin enjoys her position at Advanced Dermatology because it combines her passion for surgery and research while allowing her to establish close relationships with all of her patients.
