THERMAGE INTORDUCES NEW EYE AREA PROCEDURE: Eyes by Thermage™
April 2006 – Advanced Dermatology, owned and directed by local board-certified dermatologist, Amy Forman Taub, MD, received training by Thermage® in their newest treatment therapy Eyes by Thermage™. This new non-invasive procedure allows the upper and lower eyelids to be treated to reduce hooding, improve texture, tone and smoothness of the eye area, and soften fine lines and crow's feet. Advanced Dermatology is the first location in Chicago to be trained in this advanced user procedure.
Advanced Dermatology has been providing tissue tightening therapies for over 3 years. Treatment devices for skin laxity, wrinkle and line reduction, and skin lifting currently used at their office include Thermacool™ by Thermage®, TitanXL, Titan, and CoolGlide Genesis by Cutera, and Polaris WR by Syneron.
In January 2003, Dr. Taub founded Advanced Dermatology and Skinfo® Specialty Skincare Boutique in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Prior, Dr. Taub founded Skinfo.com, an information based skincare website that soon developed into its retail boutique for physician dispensed and cosmeceutical skincare products. In January 2006, SKINQRI, Advanced Research in Dermatology, was founded. SKINQRI collaborates with pharmaceutical and laser companies to test the safety and efficacy of new treatments and evaluate new protocols for current treatments. Dr. Taub's practice philosophy is one of active collaboration with her patients. While she likes being on the cutting edge of technological and medical innovations, Dr. Taub carefully evaluates the scientific principles and safety of new treatments and procedures she makes available to her patients. Dr. Taub is also on faculty at Northwestern University Medical School and leads a monthly clinic teaching cosmetic dermatology and laser treatments, including BOTOX® Cosmetic and Injectable Filler Restylane™, to dermatology residents.
