Photorejuvenation treatments tackle redness and brown spots on the face with little or no downtime.

This is also called Photofacial, Fotofacial, or IPL, it is a non-invasive procedure that makes your face look more youthful by removing sun damage, signs of rosacea, and reducing pores or acne spots.

Although it’s been around for about 10 years, it remains one of the most popular treatments due to its low downtime and effective results. Most people need 5 treatments one month apart to achieve optimal results, although occasionally 3 is enough. Brown spots get slightly darker and then disappear (unless you are using a Q-switched laser when they do scab over first), red vessels disappear or get lighter and smaller, the skin will get smoother as new collagen is built up and pores tend to appear smaller. If you have rosacea, your redness and blood vessels will be reduced and facial flushing will occur less frequently and be less intense.

Advanced Dermatology has multiple technologies to accomplish these goals: ELOS (IPL with Radiofrequency) (Elight or ELOS Plus by Syneron) as well as laser (Genesis a 1064 nm Laser, VBeam, a 5955 nm laser and Q-switch, a quality-switched laser for brown spots or other pigmented lesions). Why so many? Each device has some unique features so that we can tailor it to your exact needs.

Areas of treatment include face, neck, chest, hands, arms, legs, and back.
