The Quad treatment is a combination treatment designed by Dr. Taub incorporating Photorejuvenation, eMatrix, Matrix IR and Sublime.  The process includes all four treatments to help reverse the effects aging.

This addresses all of the components of aging of the skin including sun damage with brown and red spots, skin laxity, wrinkles, both superficial and deep and pore size and acne scars.

The 4 treatments are given in one visit that is usually about 2 hours long.  First you will receive a photofacial followed by Sublime skin tightening and Matrix IR deep wrinkle reduction.  Then a topical anesthetic will be applied to your face for 30 minutes after which the Sublative Rejuvenation (Ematrix) treatment will be administered.

This series of treatments achieves the most possible rejuvenation with the least invasive, least downtime and least pain of any other series or single treatment giving the same effects. The only other treatment that can achieve this many objectives at once is C02 laser skin resurfacing, which is highly effective but does require a 1-2 week commitment for healing.

How do I know if I need the Quad?

The Quad treatment is a simple treatment that combines four treatments to target the main concerns of skin damage and aging.   eMatrix improves fine lines, abnormal texture , pores and scars, Sublime tightens lax skin, photorejeuvenation corrects sun damage, and Matrix IR addresses deep wrinkles.

How does Quad work?

The Sublative Rejuvenation with eMatrix is a unique procedure which uses radio frequency to deliver an effective but controlled ablative and non-ablative fractional treatment for wrinkles, scars, large pores and better texture of the skin.

Photorejuvenation treatments alleviate redness and brown spots on the face with minimal downtime.  This is also called Photofacial, Fotofacial or IPL, it is a non-invasive procedure that makes your face look more youthful by removing sun damage, signs of rosacea and reducing pores or acne spots.

The sublime combines laser light energy and radiofrequency energy to stimulate the production of new collagen.

The Matrix IR™ by Syneron™ combines fractionated 915nm diode laser and bipolar radiofrequency for a non-ablative treatment reducing facial wrinkles and scars.

What benefits can I expect?

The Quad treatment will help reverse sundamage, laxity, wrinkling, and skin tone to achieve a more youthful appearance.

What are the risks and side effects?

If your skin is tanned by sun exposure or artificial tanning lotion you should allow at least 4 weeks for the tan to fade before treatments.

Potential side effects are bruising, skin wound, infection and scarring, hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation, and surface irregularities.

Prior to treatment all potential risks and side effects will be discussed with you by your medical provider and cosmetic coordinator.

How will I look and feel during and after the treatment?

Most patients have redness and swelling with eMatrix for a few hours to 3 days after the treatment (occasionally it can last longer). You may apply make-up to the treated area immediately after the Sublative rejuvenation procedure. Tiny crusts develop and are present for about 5-14 days, but these are easy to camouflage with makeup or even without it after the first one to two days.  Results will develop over time and with subsequent treatments. Full results can be appreciated at three to six months following the last treatment. Maintenance treatments may be necessary.  After Photorejuvenation, the treated area usually appears flushed.  Redness and swelling may occur, which usually dissipates within a day.  Brown spots will darken and flake off within 1-2 weeks after treatment. In the meantime you can conceal these spots with makeup which you may apply immediately after treatment, if you desire.

Is there another way to get the same effect?

Wrinkles can be improved with fillers or botulinum toxin treatments and tissue tightening can be achieved with other treatments such as Theramge.  Other alternatives include Fraxel Dual and CO2 laser resurfacing.  Since this is a combination of treatments results are apparent and help with many different skin concerns.

Can this be combined with other treatments?

There are other combined treatments that will reverse the effects of aging as well.  No other treatment could be necessary except for potentially botulinum toxin for dynamic wrinkles and fillers to replace volume.
