Uncommon Causes of Hair Loss

Less common causes of hair loss include ringworm (tinea), lupus erythematosus can cause hair loss, thyroid deficiency, lichen planus and other diseases that are even less common.  If you are not sure what is causing your hair loss, or if it is causing scarring, please see a dermatology professional to have it evaluated.
