Veins around the nose are very common, and can be due to heredity, rosacea, or even frequent nose blowing (ie with allergies).

These can be treated with the lasers discussed in the previous section, called Dilated Blood Vessels.  One thing that is important is to be careful what laser is used for this treatment.  Nd:YAG lasers can cause pitted scars if used too aggressively here.  These vessels can be difficult to treat and they also have a high rate of recurrence. We get good results with our VBeam laser at Advanced Dermatology, but we also caution people that they may need periodic maintenance treatment, as larger, deeper vessels that will reopen them eventually usually feed these vessels.
